OG System

OG System

One Web Service API unifies 75+ access controller models across 18 manufacturers on a single web-based console.

Most facilities don’t run one brand of access controller — they run whatever was installed project by project over the years. OG System is a device-agnostic access control management platform: it talks to controllers from 18 manufacturers and 75+ models through a single Web Service API, so security teams manage every door — old and new hardware alike — from one web-based console instead of juggling a different program per controller brand.

Built for mixed-brand hardware

OG System integrates with major access controller lines including Soyal, Hundure, Settler, ChiYu, Stoneax, Sunnion, Heart, Poris, BorYeu, ATop, Syris, and more — single-door and multi-door models, card, PIN, fingerprint, finger-vein, and face-recognition readers alike. Development is done once against OG System’s own device API; when a site adds a new controller model later, there’s no need to redevelop the integration.

OG System software architecture: access controllers from multiple manufacturers connect through the Device Management Library and Pluggable Device Application Server to a central database, which powers a web-based management console for admins, area managers, HR, and guard stations.

Simplified architecture — see full documentation for the complete supported-device list.

Key features

  • Web-based console — no software install required on client PCs
  • Multi-language interface: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English
  • Individual and group access-rights management, with up to 99 levels of organizational hierarchy
  • Access rights follow the person, not the card — reassigning a lost or replaced card takes no re-configuration
  • Access group member booking — plan ahead and temporarily share a group’s access rights for a defined time window
  • Two-level administration: system management and area management, independently authorized
  • Complete access-log system with strict data authorization — regular users see only their own records, group managers see their group, controller managers see their controllers
  • Automatic reload of card data to controllers after a network reconnect
  • Task scheduling, automatic annual holiday calendar, and xlsx / csv import-export for employee data
  • Real-time controller status monitoring with instant email alerts on irregular status or security events
  • Built-in setup wizards, plus a system-tuning analyzer offering 45+ configuration recommendations

Built to prevent the failures other systems don’t catch

  • Data loss prevention — access records are stored under distributed transaction control with daily backups; invalid card reads are logged separately in an exception log rather than lost or mixed into normal traffic
  • Valid card, denied access — fixed automatically — every card-list download is logged and verified; if a controller’s card list drifts out of sync with the database, OG System detects the mismatch and re-downloads automatically, instead of leaving a valid cardholder locked out
  • Irregular controller status caught immediately — invalid reads or a lost connection trigger an instant alert to administrative staff, and a single controller’s communication fault never takes the rest of the network down; the system re-establishes the connection automatically
  • Open architecture — because integration is written once against OG System’s own device API, adding or swapping a controller brand later doesn’t require redeveloping the management software

Proven at scale

OG System’s largest production deployment has been running for 6+ years managing 250 multi-door controllers across 1,200 doors, 60,000 cardholders, and 30 concurrent administrative operators. A second long-running deployment (6.5+ years) manages 600 single-door controllers and 20,000 cardholders.

Expansion modules

Available as needed, without paying for capability a given site doesn’t use:

  • Floor access control (elevator integration)
  • Concurrent upload / download module
  • Anti-passback management module
  • Central monitoring integration via Modbus/TCP
  • Web Service API module (Enterprise)
  • Pluggable record-handler expansion module (Enterprise)
  • Integrated Windows Authentication
  • Electronic floor plan monitor for guard stations
  • Extension DI (contact input) module
  • Emergency door latch release module
  • Employee auto-grouping from HR data fields

Surveillance integration

OG System links access and alarm events to video from Instek, LiLin (including LiLin Navigator), GeoVision, Hikvision, Aver-NVR, and other supported NVR/VMS platforms — so operators can pull up the exact clip captured at the moment of a card read or alarm. If the network link between the two systems drops, each keeps operating and recording independently, so a communication fault never stops video from being captured.

Application scenarios

  • Multi-building campuses running mixed-brand access hardware
  • Enterprises consolidating legacy access control systems onto one platform
  • Sites needing HR/attendance data tied directly to access control
  • Operations centers monitoring 100+ doors from one guard station
